This morning, the Charlotte Women's March restored a little bit of my faith in humanity. I've seen turnout estimates ranging from 15k to 25k, roughly triple the amount expected. The mood was peaceful and the crowd diverse. I hope these images capture some of the energy of the day, because it was beautiful.
Everyone seemed pretty amazed by the massive crowd. There were probably 200 people in this parking deck doing chants with the ones on the ground. Every train was full, every restaurant in uptown packed.

Difficult days lie ahead, but today made me feel a little less gut-punched. We face real fears, but we do not face them alone. That is cause for hope.
